EXERGY AGREES DEAL WITH ATTSU TERMICA SL – ARMAKOM LLC FOR BIOMASS PLANT

In October EXERGY signed a contract with ATTSU TERMICA SL and ARMAKOM LLC for around 1 MW ORC heat recovery plant for power production from biomass.

Attsu Termica SL is the largest Spanish boiler manufacturing group, offering a wide range of products for generating, recovering and transporting heat in a variety of industrial sectors. Operating since 1993, when the three main companies decided to join forces and establish the ATTSU Group, the brand has always represented advanced technology, research, technical expertise and innovation.

For this project the consortium of Attsu Termica along with ARAMAKOM LLC led  the  reconstruction of the Boiler House in Tekser Housing Estate, in Baranovichi Town, Belarus, suppling boilers for firing biomass sources.

EXERGY’s module H&P 100 managed to increase the power production of the plant with a Heat Recovery system. The heat generated from the firing of biomass wasted resources is transferred using a thermal oil at a medium temperature range between 210°C and 300°C to EXERGY’s Radial Outflow Turbine (ROT). The plant configuration sees a single pressure level turbine and a single generator producing 924 kWe. This latest contract adds further weight to EXERGY’s biomass portfolio, demonstrating how Organic Rankine Cycle proves to be the most efficient solution for power production when the enthalpy of the heat source is low or the size of the plant is small.
