The past 10th April 2019, EXERGY signed a contract for the supply of an ORC unit installed within a biomass plant located in Baranovichi, Belarus. The ORC unit, working with 5200 kWth heat input, will generate more than 900 kW of electrical energy to be injected in the national grid, enough to power about 2000 households every year. The installation will be indoor and thus very compact, about 14m long and 7m wide, including the water-cooled condenser. This will allow the unit to be placed close to the biomass boiler reducing site works and total construction costs. Moreover, the small modular and light weighted plant design, guarantees a simpler operation and maintenance, while maintaining a higher electrical efficiency.
