PureCycle 280 ORC module
PureCycle 280 by TICA is a 280 kWe plug and play compact ORC module that can be efficiently employed for waste heat recovery and power generation using renewables from low-grade temperature resources ranging from 90°C to 150°C.
The system is supplied on modular mounted packages, and can be sized to match resource conditions and rapidly deployed according to need.
PRODUCE CLEAN AND AFFORDABLE ELECTRICITY FROM LOW TEMPERATURE HEAT SOURCES WITH PURECYCLE 280.
The main components of PureCycle ORC power systems include:
1
THE TURBINE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
This is the heart of the PureCycle® power system and includes the oil and generator cooling systems and fully enclosed hermetic assembly, as well as controls and diagnostic instrumentation for pressure, temperature, and speed monitoring.
2
THE CONDENSER
A shell and tube heat exchanger in which low pressure vapor is cooled and condensed into a saturated liquid. It is delivered as an integral part of the skid-mounted module, thus reducing installation cost and site-specific engineering.
3
THE EVAPORATOR
or shell and tube heat exchanger which extracts heat from the heat source and transfers it to the organic fluid. This equipment is delivered as an integral part of the skid-mounted module, thus reducing installation cost and site-specific engineering.
4
THE PUMP
it delivers working fluid at the required flow rate and pressure to the evaporator. The pump operates continuously, but at varying speeds to maximize power plant generated power, based on hot resource and cooling tower conditions.
5
THE ELECTRICAL CONTROL SYSTEM (ECS)
contains the system controller, input/output (I/O) modules, working fluid pump motor drive, generator solid-state soft starter, remote monitoring system, system contactors, and relays.
6
THE LOCAL OPERATOR INTERFACE
serves as an interface for the system, providing several functions, including the power indicator, alarm indication and emergency stop.
